Going Within
Making Peace with Resistance and Fear
Hello, my friends,
There are ten million reasons I can produce in this moment alone as to why something is not ‘right’, but I would like to honor and acknowledge the equally weighted ten million reasons and items that make it beautiful and all right.
Feelings of sadness, confusion, longing, and loneliness do frequently show themselves. These feelings arise, hang around for a moment, and fade away. They have a strong presence and pull, as much as I would like to turn away and not see them for what they are.
I am working with them, trying to make friends with that which feels uncomfortable, unfamiliar, and unknown. A big part of me wants these feelings to not be present, as they feel defeating, as though I am going in the “wrong direction,” whatever the right direction is anyways.
I am making peace with the process, taking it as it comes, that is, living life in flow, life with ease. All arises, and I let it go when its time passes.
I am grateful to be here. I am grateful to learn, to learn from this engaging and fascinating story. The mistakes and the lessons. The setbacks and leaps forward. There’s no telling, but the little wins are a special thing. We take what comes, as it comes, and let things go, when their time is up. That is life, the temporal nature of it.
I watch the unfolding and passing experience with an open and passionate heart. Ultimately, it all comes from the heart. It all comes from within, and we see that the moment we come home to ourselves. Coming home seems to happen in many ways. Silence, reflection, and contemplation are quite helpful. Slowing down amidst the busyness encourages space, and with this space, there is a greater sense of clarity.
This, in turn, allows for more intuitive and honest action. Action with integrity and love.
My goal is to simply show up with curiosity, openness, and love. It is the little moments, the moments that are easy to take for granted, that matter. All moments matter, especially when we participate and engage in the process, fully. Being fully engage is being fully alive.
I have a lot of gratitude to be here and have this ‘opportunity,’ though I don’t quite know how this story unfolds. But I will play my part, whatever that means. I will let go of what I think it should be, and let it be what it is. That is, a life in flow, ease, and balance. I trust that this unfolding process, the hardship, and blessings, are all meant to be as they are.
Thank you for being here, and being a friend,
Tyler
